Bangladesh Mango Delicacy Programme Held in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, 26 July: The Embassy of Bangladesh in Nepal organised the ‘Bangladesh Mango Delicacy’ programme in Kathmandu on Sunday, showcasing a variety of mangoes grown in Bangladesh and a range of delicacies prepared from the fruit.

The event was held at Utsav Kunj Banquet in Basundhara, Chakrapath. It featured the distinctive taste and characteristics of different varieties of Bangladeshi mangoes, along with various dishes prepared using the fruit.

The programme was hosted by His Excellency Mohammad Shafiqul Rahman, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal, and was attended by diplomats, government officials, representatives from various sectors, media professionals and other distinguished guests.

According to the Embassy, the programme aimed to introduce the Nepali and Himalayan communities to the diverse varieties of mangoes produced in Bangladesh, their distinctive flavours and the wide range of delicacies that can be prepared from them.

Bangladesh is renowned for its diverse and flavourful mango varieties. Participants at the event had the opportunity to explore and taste a selection of special Bangladeshi mangoes and delicacies prepared from them.

The Embassy stated that the programme was organised with the objective of further strengthening people-to-people relations and promoting cultural exchange between Nepal and Bangladesh through food and culinary traditions.
