Pakistan government opens applications for Nepali students

Kathmandu, July 9: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Nepal has invited applications from eligible Nepali students for scholarships provided by the Government of Pakistan under the Pakistan Technical Assistance Programme (PTAP) for the academic session 2026–27.

The scholarship programme offers opportunities for undergraduate-level Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Engineering and D-Pharmacy studies, according to the ministry.

A total of 14 seats are available under the programme, including two seats each for Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering, and eight seats for D-Pharmacy.

The selection of candidates will be based on the merit list of the Institute of Engineering (IOE), Pulchowk entrance examination. Applicants must have completed Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification and must have their names included in the IOE entrance examination results.

Interested candidates are required to submit their applications through the Google Form published by the Ministry of Education within the specified deadline. Applicants must also provide supporting documents, including academic transcripts, a copy of their Nepali citizenship certificate, and the IOE entrance examination scorecard.

The ministry has urged interested students to review the detailed scholarship notice through its official channels and submit applications within the given timeframe.
